Left Austin this morning and plan to get at least to Las Cruces, New Mexico tonight but am taking my time.
On the way out of town on 290, I saw this sign claiming the world's best chicken fried steak and wondered if they had tried my Mama's.
But I was not long for that junction in the road, and moving beyond, Fredericksburg, TX (which is the cutest dang town ever by the way) is in my rear-view mirror now...
